Mission Statement

The Hungarian Association for American Studies (HAAS) was established in 1992 in Budapest.
The purpose of the Association is to advance the study of the United States in Hungary. In furtherance of the said object HAAS concerns itself with holding biannual conferences, participating in related scholarly activities abroad, publishing papers, and promoting the exchange of ideas and information in the field of American Studies.
